Rob Gronkowski out for Patriots game vs. Buccaneers with thigh injury

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is dealing with a thigh injury, and will not play tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

What happened?

Five interceptions is awfully close to four turnovers, and while Bortles played horribly, he did technically play better than Roethlisberger when it comes to passer rating — so this all checks out.

Steelers fans were making fun of Jones-Drew for his prediction earlier in the week, but he’s laughing last. It’s not the first time this has happened either. Before Week 1 Patriots fans mercilessly mocked MJD for saying the Chiefs would win and giving Andy Reid the edge in “coaching” over Bill Belichick.

Two weeks ago, he got laughed at for saying Marcedes Lewis would be the reason the Jaguars beat the Ravens. The tight end entered the game with zero catches in the first two games of the season, but caught three touchdowns in London.

The lone offensive bright spot was that Brian Griese looked like a quarterback who might possibly combine the best of Rex — ability to make daring plays down the field — and the best of Kyle Orton — ability to win games without doing too much.

When the Bears got the ball back after Peterson’s third touchdown, Griese tried to do both and instead did neither. He went deep to Muhsin Muhammad and was intercepted.

Well, miracle of miracles, the Vikings were still splitting carries between Peterson (who had 231 yards rushing at that point) and Taylor (who had 78). Taylor ran twice for a net gain of two yards, Peterson gained two on 3rd and 8, and they punted back to the Bears, who inherited prime field position at their own 47.falcons_029
